UAE residence visa cancellation grace period

After a resident visa cancellation, there is often a grace period of between 60 and 180 days during which travelers may stay to find a new sponsor or leave the country. Previously, there was a 30-day grace period, but now it is determined by the type of visa.

Within the grace period following the cancellation of the visa, expatriates must either leave the country or obtain a new visa. The country announced the flexible timeframe last month as it implemented significant changes to its entry and residence visa program.

Many people will benefit from the flexible time that extends up to six months after the resident visa cancellation. Even if they lose their job, they have enough time to recover and hunt for another within the grace period.

Several modifications have also been made to the visit visa permits. Instead of the previous 30 days, the new visas will permit a stay of 60 days. A five-year multiple-entry tourist visa that doesn't require a sponsor has also been introduced.
