Foreigners allowed to get visas without sponsor



The Federal Authority for identity allows five types of entry visas for foreigners into the country directly, without a sponsor or intermediary, and apply through the website or through the UAEICP Smart App.

To access the smart services offered through the website to individuals from abroad who wish to enter the UAE for tourism, work, or residence purposes and apply for a visa directly without a sponsor or intermediary.

The Customs and Ports Security (ICA) has issued a new visa regime with effect from 3 October 2022.

The authority added that applicants for a 5-year long-term tourist visa for all nationalities (multiple entries) can apply without a sponsor and will be allowed to stay in the country for a continuous period not exceeding 90 days. The possibility of extending it for another period if the total period of stay does not exceed 180 days per year.

The authority also pointed out that special visa holders (citizens of the Republic of India residing in the US, UK, and EU countries) can obtain visas such as USA visas and residence visas in EU countries.

ICA has clarified the conditions and requirements of each visa, and required documents, and provided an introductory guide to all application steps and fees.

It indicated that an applicant for a 6-month visa with multiple entries to complete the Golden Visa procedure can obtain an entry permit for 6 months and extend it for a similar period.
