    Amendment on Real Estate Registration in Sharjah

     

    Amendment to Law No. (5) of 2010 on Real Estate Registration in the Emirate of Sharjah has been issued.
    Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has announced the issuance of the new amendment.
    The right to own real estate in the emirate for citizens of the UAE and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf
    was limited.
    A legal person holding real estate in the emirate must comply with the following:
    Notify the Real Estate Registration Department of any change in the ownership of the legal entity, if it results in a decrease or increase in the shares of the partners, a transfer of ownership, or a change in its legal form or trade name. Correct the situation against adding a partner or transferring his ownership to persons who are not eligible to own real estate in the emirate.
    But select sections are allowed to have authority.
    Assignment by the owner to one of his first-degree relatives in accordance with the provisions specified in the Executive Regulation of this Act.
    Ownership in real estate development areas and projects is subject to regulations laid down by the Council.
    Ownership by agreement of ruler.Transfer by inheritance by virtue of legal notice.
    The Act also provides that the text of Article (7) of Act No. (5) of 2010 shall be replaced by the following text
