60-day visit visa issuance resumed in UAE

60-day visit visa issuance resumed in UAE. This is part of a wider set of reforms known as the Advanced Visa System, which came into effect on October 3.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has also issued a notification in this regard. Travel agencies have confirmed that 60-day visit visas have been issued. Currently, agencies charge 500 dirhams for visas.

Work exploration or business entry visas are issued for 60, 90, or 120 days. Visas are issued to those classified in the first, second, or third skill level under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Fresh graduates from the world's top 500 universities can also apply. The minimum level of education should be a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

The advanced visa system is one of the biggest residency and entry permit reforms in the UAE. According to details announced by the UAE Cabinet in April, all entry visas are valid for 60 days from the date of issue.

According to experts, the five-year multi-entry tourism visa is the most popular. It does not require a sponsor and allows the individual to stay in the country for up to 90 consecutive days, and can be extended for a similar period if the entire stay does not exceed 180 days in a year. This visa requires proof of a bank balance of $4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency within six months prior to application.
