50% discount on late attestation fees for tenancy agreements in Sharjah

Sharjah has announced a 50 percent discount on late attestation fees for tenancy agreements.

The decision was made following the instructions of the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi.

The attestation charge is 4 percent of the annual rent and must be processed within 90 days of the issuance of the agreement. Failure to do so will result in a fine. In Sharjah, rental agreements must be certified by the municipality.

In fees for certifying late rental agreements until the end of this year. The half discount was issued by the Executive Council.

This was in the presence of Deputy Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi at a council meeting held on Tuesday morning under the chairmanship of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council.

The issues on the agenda related to discussing the general policies of various government departments and bodies in the Emirate of Sharjah and follow-up on the progress of government works were discussed.
