2 weeks allotted to register properties of Dubai residents

Residents of the emirate have been given two weeks to register their properties.

Two weeks' time has been allotted to register owned and leased properties. The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has informed all owners, developers, property management companies, and tenants about the registration of their co-owners in owned and leased properties.

An eight-step process must be followed to complete registration, including adding details and Emirates ID.

The rules apply to all owners, developers, property management companies, and tenants.

According to the information available on the Dubai REST app, tenants and landlords must upload the name, Emirates ID, and date of birth of all housemates in the application. After entering the data, applicants have to click on 'Confirm'. Details of all family members residing on the property should be recorded.

DLD did not provide details of potential penalties for failure to register co-authors within the Dubai two-week deadline.
